Terms of Service

Last Updated: May 2026

Welcome to CampusOverflow. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.

1. Eligibility and Authentication

Access to CampusOverflow is restricted to active faculty and staff members of participating campuses. Users must authenticate using a verified district-issued Google Workspace account (or an approved manual login). You agree to provide accurate information and maintain the security of your authentication credentials.

2. Acceptable Use Policy

CampusOverflow is designed for professional collaboration and campus improvement. You agree NOT to:

  • Post Personally Identifiable Information (PII) regarding students, in compliance with FERPA regulations.
  • Engage in harassment, bullying, or the targeting of specific individuals in a malicious manner.
  • Use the platform for commercial solicitation or spam.
  • Misrepresent your identity or department affiliation.

3. Anonymity and Accountability

While the platform allows for "Anonymous" public posting to encourage honest feedback, users acknowledge that anonymity is peer-facing only. System administrators and designated campus leaders maintain the ability to verify authorship of any post to ensure campus safety, prevent abuse, and uphold professional standards.

Important: CampusOverflow is a tool for professional discourse. Use of this platform does not supersede your existing district employment contracts, acceptable use policies, or professional code of ethics.

4. User-Generated Content & Ownership

The respective campus/school district retains ownership of data and communications generated on this platform during official work hours. You grant CampusOverflow a license to host, store, and display that content for the purposes of facilitating campus communication. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms or is deemed inappropriate by campus leadership.

5. Archival Retrieval & Data Export

CampusOverflow provides automated data export tools for active campus administrators prior to our annual summer data purge. Requests by a district for manual retrieval or extraction of historical data that has been moved to cold storage are subject to a standard Administrative Processing Fee. This fee covers the technical labor required to verify, extract, and format historical records for Open Records compliance.

6. Limitation of Liability

CampusOverflow is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages resulting from the use of the platform, service interruptions, or the actions of other users.
